♡ Festival Hair ♡
Coachella officially kicked off the festival season for 2018 last weekend in sunny California. It is here were we get a precursor of what's going to be the popular styles dominating social media this summer. With this in mind we have selected some looks which will be perfect for festival hair, whether you are at a concert for a few hours or are camping for the duration of the festival.
GLITTER + SPACEBUNS
Glitter roots is one of the best solutions for festival hair, whilst still maintaining a super cute image. If you are a seasoned-expert at festival weekends, you will know well the common hair problems that occur after standing 8 hours in a sweaty pit of people and jumping along to your favourite artist: greasy roots and uncombable matted hair. Try the Glitter Space Buns look; your hair is up and out of the way meaning it stays cleaner and tangle-free, plus the glitter roots hides any regrowth dye-jobs needed or unwashed greasy roots.
90s style has had a massive influence on the fashion industry this past year and is the go-to for the X, Y & Z generation at the moment. Think Baby Spice meets Kurt Cobain if you want to try out the pigtails look. Want to try the girly route? Buy a scrunchy (a key hair accessory of 2018) and some hoop earrings, à la Bella & Hailey and whip you hair up into a messy top-knot or a half-up half-down.
BRIGHTS --> COLOURED HAIR
Whether its real hair or a wig, bright all-over-coloured hair was spotted on the many influencers and celebrities at Coachella, with some changing their look each day like Kylie Jenner. This option does take a little more dedication and preparation but is great if you like to change your appearance and experiment with new things. If your hair is light blonde in colour then you are in luck, as you can easily dye your hair any colour under the sun. For everyone else, wigs are the way to go if you want this look with no commitment.
BRAIDS PLAITS PLAITS BRAIDS
Braids and plaits are always popular at festivals and there are so many different types that there is a style for everyone. Dutch braids are beautiful and feminine and still look good a little disheveled after being slept in. Add a bit of colour with pastel braided hair extensions or plait in ribbons to give your outfit that little extra.
